Frequently Asked Questions

What is Life in Motion?

Founded by a team of passionate entrepreneurs, coaches and working professionals, Life in Motion is an in-person and “on-demand” online programme designed to accelerate your personal development and performance. It challenges participants to daily activities in the areas of Movement, Meditation and Nutrition that will incrementally build and then solidify game-changing lifestyle and performance habits that improve capacity and longevity….and prevent burnout.

Life in Motion uses Grideo (for Android and iOS) to facilitate a personal programme and coaching experience. The Full Programme is 6 weeks of content and curriculum, bookended by a 2 weeks of coaching to onboard and then offboard, for a total of 8 weeks.

The content and curriculum was designed by the Coaches specifically for the Life in Motion programme. In this way, we’ve integrated Movement, Meditation and Nutrition into one cohesive, and totally unique curriculum.

Each day participants receive video curriculum via the app, with both educational and activity-oriented components designed to fit into a busy schedule.

Accompanying the programme curriculum is the Life in Motion Workbook, including personal journal and daily lifestyle checklist.

What is the schedule and calendar like?

The Life in Motion programme is designed to blend in-person and online coaching to facilitate the ideal environment for your person growth while making it accessible and easy to fit into your daily schedule.

The first week kicks off with an in-person seminar where we do a personal habits assessment, go through the overarching objectives for the course, and tailor it to your needs.

The main course curriculum is distributed as video curriculum, and is 6 weeks in duration. This is where participants receive the bulk of the education and instruction, with daily videos that are designed to inspire you to action each and every day.

It all wraps up with a closing week focused on maintaining these new habits and ensuring that your routine and environment remains conducive to lasting improvements in lifestyle, health, wellbeing and performance

What is the curriculum like?

We live in an era of endless distractions and where time is undoubtedly our most precious and truly non-renewable resource. When it comes to lifestyle decisions there are endless books and resources (we’ll give you the good ones), but it’s hard to know where to start, and it’s easy to spend a lot of time without making a ton of progress. Following that, it can be challenging to take on these BIG changes on your own…hence why so many of us repeatedly fall off the wagon so to speak. With Life in Motion we’ve done our best to streamline our content, to introduce and then employ those lifestyle habits that will have the biggest and longest lasting impact on your health, wellbeing and performance. And moreover, you get to do it with our Coaches there to guide you, and a group of individuals on a similar path.

Why Grideo?

As mentioned earlier, Life in Motion is the culmination of years of experience in the personal development field by our Founders and Coaches. We have both witnessed and personally experienced some of the issues with online courses, and Grideo offers a platform unlike other applications that helps the Coaches and the participants.

First, it allows us to put the programme on one platform; for convenience, consistency and to eliminate the distractions common to email and private FB groups.

Second, it’s more personal and effective. Grideo enables our coaches to communicate directly with programme participants via video and messenger.

Third, Grideo works with us to develop new and innovative functions for the platform and programme. We’re constantly striving to improve the participant experience and we’ve got a ton of new functionality coming down the pipeline, like Google Chromecast integration and a full-blown web portal.

How much does it cost?

Full Programme: $1299 $699

Premium Programme: $1899 $999

The Full Programme, there are three main reasons for the cost. The first is that Life in Motion requires a significant amount of commitment on the part of the coaches and you as participants. It’s a decision to break away from your status quo and commit yourself to something bigger. One way we can make that likely to happen is to raise the stakes.

The second, is that this programme is truly unique in how we’ve merged online with in-person coaching; bringing Coaching and Community together, for inspiration and accountability. For example, while you may be able to get some other online course for less, the NUMBER ONE ISSUE with these courses is that many of them don’t have a real coach or community on the other end, and often people don’t finish them. We know it can be hard to make big changes alone. This course is specifically designed to use Coaching and Community for that EXTRA boost; Coaches that can educate, guide and inspire you, and a community for support and a sense of tribe. It’s for those looking for an environment that will ensure the adoption of life-changing lifestyle habits.

The third reason is value. We’ve merged online with in-person coaching not just because it is going to hold you accountable, but also because it’s significantly less expensive than in-person coaching. For example, Slava charges $100/hr for in-person coaching sessions. To do it this way it would cost upwards of $900 just for Slava’s content alone.

It’s worth noting that “on-demand” coaching provides a cost saving that we can pass directly on to the customer. By removing the cost of renting a studio, and sharing in the coaching experience via the app, we can pass those savings directly onto you; allowing the coaches to leverage their time, and provide you with the freedom and flexibility to do your practice whenever and wherever you want.

Why a cohort-based programme?

The first reason is simple, it all comes back to community and building a sense of tribe.

A cohort based programme means that everyone starts and finishes together and connects with people on a similar path. In the process of developing some life-changing habits, we develop a kick ass community as well.

We’re after quality, not quantity. We limit the cohort size to maximize the participant experience.

What is the accountability policy?

The Coaches are here to educate and inspire you, and when it comes to accountability, you can lean on your Accountability Buddy, daily videos and checklist.

Think of your Accountability Buddy as someone to:

  1. Remind you of your commitments
  2. Give you valuable feedback
  3. Ensure you track your progress
  4. Help you get back on track when necessary.

How much time do I dedicate to the programme each day?

That’s up to you, but the more time you put into it the more you’ll get out of it. At a minimum, between the video content and the activities, you’re looking at somewhere between half an hour to an hour a day. We’ve packed the course with tons of extra resources for those particularly keen and curious individuals.

Where does the programme take place?

95% of the programme is online, via your smartphone or computer. You can also cast it to your television.

There are two in-person seminars…one at the beginning and one at the end, which make up the remaining 5%.

The seminar location is in Vancouver, BC.

What is the refund policy?

Life in Motion is a mutual commitment. We commit to welcoming you into a small, focused cohort of individuals, and doing everything we can to deliver on the promises of the programme. In return, we ask you to commit to spending the time, money and passion it takes to develop life-changing lifestyle habits, at the same time you contribute to others in the session.

We understand that life can interfere and that plans change, and we’ve tried to create a refund policy that respects you, the other participants and our mutual commitments.

For the Full Programme we set aside $200 as a deposit to secure your spot. Your deposit is non-refundable but goes towards the overall programme cost.

For the Private Coaching Experience we require an additional $100 deposit ($300 total). This also goes towards the programme cost.

The programme cost (less transaction fees and the deposit) is fully refundable any time between the day we receive it and fourteen days before the start of the program. Afterwards, no refunds are possible. We do appreciate notification of withdrawal as soon as possible so that we can attempt to fill your spot with another student who may be on the waitlist.

What is your deferral policy?

We understand that life happens and that plans can change. This being said, we have to be fair to other eager students who are ready to start the course. For the Full Programme and Premium Programme, we are unable to offer deferrals as it is disruptive for the coaches and other students. Special exceptions may be made, however we have to review it on a case by case basis.

If you are admitted to the programme and need to defer, please email
